Does the mob cast an AOE fear? You'll stand and shoot while the rest of the group is running around.
Does the mob randomly sheep members of the group? You're immune to that effect.
I'm not sure where people get the impression that TBW causes the player to lose control of the Hunter. I've seen more than one poster with this impression, but a read of the Talent description does not even hint at such an effect:
